Advocacy Yorkshire is Yorkshire & The Humber's go to provider for Spot Purchase Independent Advocacy. We specialise in allocating local Statutory and Professional Advocates to eligible clients in need of advocacy, on an ad hoc basis. This is usually when those clients are placed outside the area of the local authority which funds them. They are then often not covered by an existing advocacy contract, which usually only covers the local area.
Spot-purchase advocacy can help prevent waiting lists and bridge gaps within service provision, but many advocacy organisations cannot take on spot purchase work as it is a breach of their contract with the local council who commissions their work. We are not tied by such a contract, so we are your best port of call for all Spot-purchase Independent Advocacy in Yorkshire & The Humber.
Our Advocates are appropriately trained, fully qualified, extensively experienced and dedicated to their work. They are of good character and integrity, and provide a high quality and efficient independent advocacy service. They are committed to the Advocacy Charter and Principles, ensuring an independent, confidential, empowering, accessible, fair and transparent service for all. They undergo regular enhanced DBS checks, and professional development on an ongoing basis in order to keep up-to-date on legal developments, and best practice in the health and social care field.
Advocacy Yorkshire takes referrals for any eligible clients who are living or currently placed anywhere in Yorkshire and The Humber. Refer to us for a no fuss, reliable and high quality service.
Our Statutory Advocacy services include Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent Care Act Advocacy (ICAA) and Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), We also provide Relevant Person's Representatives (RPR's), Rule 1.2 Representatives, & Litigation Friends. For advocacy support with any issues or decisions to be made that are not covered by our statutory advocacy services, please make a referral for our Professional Advocacy service.
